"Sent both my kids 10 and 7 here for the week. Each day they came home so excited and proud to tell us about what they made. Also the fact that you don’t have to make any lunches/snacks for a week?! That’s like a vacation for Mom."

Programs FAQs

What ages are your cooking programs designed for?

We offer programs for everyone! Our after-school classes and camps are perfect for children ages 5–12. We also have specialized Teen Programs (ages 13+), and our private workshops and birthday parties can be tailored for kids, families, or adults.

What are the benefits of cooking classes for kids?

Cooking is a foundational life skill. Beyond learning how to make delicious recipes, children develop executive functioning, time management, fine motor skills, and creative confidence. It also encourages picky eaters to try new, healthy foods they prepared themselves.

Are your programs safe for kids with food allergies?

Absolutely. All COOKSMART programs are held in strictly nut-free, allergy-aware environments. We regularly accommodate gluten-free, dairy-free, vegetarian, and other specific dietary restrictions. Just let our team know during registration!

Where are your cooking classes and camps located?

We host our programs in safe, fully-equipped community venues across Mississauga (including Port Credit and Clarkson) and Oakville. We also travel directly to GTA schools for in-class workshops.

Can I book a private cooking event or birthday party?

Yes! We host incredibly fun, hands-on cooking birthday parties and private workshops. We provide all the fresh ingredients, professional tools, and expert instruction—plus, we handle all the clean-up!
