Afterschool Cooking Classes

COOKSMART Kids

(AGE 5 - 8)

Allergy-friendly menus, vegetarian, hands-on stations, recipes to take home, and calm, encouraging coaching.

COOKSMART Kids is our beginner level designed especially for young chefs who are just starting to explore the kitchen. In this class, students learn the foundations of cooking — from understanding basic kitchen tools and ingredients to mastering skills like measuring, mixing, cutting (safely!), and following simple recipes. Our instructors guide students step-by-step to help them build confidence, creativity, and independence while learning proper kitchen safety and hygiene. By the end of this level, kids develop a strong grasp of essential techniques and feel ready to take on more adventurous recipes.

Beyond The Basics

(AGE 9 - 12)

Beyond the Basics is the next level for students who already understand the essentials and are ready to level up their cooking game. In this program, we dive into more challenging recipes that involve heat and special kitchen tools, like stovetops, ovens, and electric mixers. Students learn to handle ingredients with precision, explore new cooking methods, and start to understand the “why” behind recipes—like how different techniques affect flavor and texture. This level encourages creativity, responsibility, and teamwork, helping young cooks gain the confidence to take charge in the kitchen like real cooks.
