Skills They Bring Home:
Why Parents Choose COOKSMART
It’s not just about keeping them busy for the week. We use cooking as a vehicle to teach essential life skills that transfer directly into your day-to-day routine at home.
Executive Functioning
Following multi-step recipes from start to finish, developing focus and working memory.
Taking Initiative
Learning to clean up their own workspace without being asked, instilling respect for shared areas.
Overcoming Picky Eating
Kids are significantly more willing and proud to try healthy, new foods they prepared themselves.
Time Management
Practicing patience and precise timing while waiting for dishes to cook or balancing multiple tasks.
"Sent both my kids 10 and 7 here for the week. Each day they came home so excited and proud to tell us about what they made. The staff was kind and supportive... Also the fact that you don’t have to make any lunches/snacks for a week?! That’s like a vacation for Mom. 10/10 recommend this camp."
"We couldn’t be happier. From the first day, he came home excitedly talking about the recipes he made. It’s been amazing to see him develop a love for cooking and food. He is now involved in meal preparations at home. Plus, not having to pack a lunch each day meant one less thing to worry about."
"My child attended a Cooksmart camp this year and absolutely loved it. From the instructors, to the carefully curated recipes... this camp was a fantastic experience. My child came home excited each day about many new things she learned. We will definitely be signing up again in the future."

Everything you need to know about our March Break program.
What age groups is this for?
Our March Break camp is designed for children ages 5 to 12. We group kids appropriately so they are using tools and tackling recipes suited to their developmental stage.
Does my child need previous cooking experience?
Not at all! Whether they are a complete beginner (a "Cucumber" level) or already help out at home, our instructors tailor the tasks so every child is challenged but safe.
How do you handle food allergies?
Our kitchen is strictly nut-free. We are highly experienced in accommodating other dietary restrictions (gluten-free, dairy-free, vegetarian). Just let us know on the registration form!
Do kids need to bring lunch?
No! We provide the food they cook, which completely covers their lunch and snacks for the day. You get a break from packing lunches, and they get the confidence of eating what they cooked.
What should they wear?
Kids must wear closed-toe shoes (running shoes are perfect) and have long hair tied back. Please send them with an apron from home!
A Look Inside COOKSMART Camps
Real kids, real ingredients, real confidence. Take a look at what your child will be doing this March Break.
More than just a recipe. We teach independence.
At COOKSMART, we believe cooking is the ultimate tool for teaching kids how to believe in themselves.
Many camps treat cooking as a cute craft—decorating pre-baked cupcakes or mixing dough in plastic bowls. We do things differently. We give kids real tools, real ingredients, and real responsibilities.
When a child learns to safely chop an onion, manage a hot pan, and clean up their station, they aren't just making lunch. They are building problem-solving skills, patience, and a deep sense of self-reliance that spills over into everyday life.
"We don’t just want to teach kids how to cook. We want to teach them how to believe in themselves."
