Shopping List for the Week: *** Use what you have! Lots of choices for flavours and fun bits

Baking Supplies: Flour, butter, sugar (white sugar, brown sugar, icing sugar), salt, baking powder, baking soda, milk, parchment paper, muffin papers or silicon cups

Flavours: vanilla, cocoa powder, garlic powder, oregano, rosemary, basil, thyme *** Use what you have!

Extras: peanut butter or alternative substitute (wowbutter, almond butter), jam, Cookies - Oreo or Fruit Cremes, cheese, tomato sauce

Fun Bits: Hemp hearts, nuts or seeds, dried fruits (e.g. raisins, dried cranberries), chocolate chips, coconut, sprinkles, food colouring


Kitchen Tools Needed Everyday:

Apron, Cutting board, Cutlery knife, Fork, Spoons, Measuring cups, Measuring spoons

Food waste bowl, Medium Bowl, small bowl

Clean-up items: Apron, Cleaning cloth, Sink of soapy water, Clean tea towel

Monday: Animal Face Sandwiches & Fruit Kebabs

Ingredients:

Base: Choose from 2 slices of bread, or large crackers

Spread: Choose from cream cheese, nut butter, or hummus

3 Bright Colours: Choose 3 fruits and 3 veggies

eg. Apples, Strawberries, Blueberries, Bananas, melon

Cucumber,tomatoes, lettuce, peppers, carrots, zucchini, olives

TOOLS:

Apron

Bowl with 1/4 water for washing fruits & veggies

Cutting board

Cutlery Knife and plastic knife

Wooden skewers or toothpicks

Tuesday: Pizza Rolls & Power Balls

INGREDIENTS:

Pizza Rolls

Tortillas

Tomato sauce

Seasonings - oregano, basil, garlic powder

Toppings:

Choose at least 3:

peppers, mushrooms, olives, pineapples, tomatoes, green onions

Your favourite topping

Cheese- mozzarella or cheddar cheese- block or shredded

Powerballs

Oatmeal

Nut butter like peanut butter, wow butter or almond butter

Honey

INGREDIENTS:

● 1 egg

Choose from toppings: Choose 3

Cheese, Avocado, Lettuce,Tomato

● Mayo

● Hummus

● Roasted peppers (optional)

● Salt and Pepper to taste

● Bread or bun or English muffin

Fruit Parfait

Cereal - your favourite

Fruit - choose 3: banana, berries, apples, melon

Yogurt - Greek plain or flavoured yogurt

Toppings: granola, seeds, dried fruits, hemp hearts

Breakfast Sandwich Recipe

Thursday: Power Pasta Salad and Magic Muffins

INGREDIENTS:

· 1-2 cups Pasta - cooked

3 Bright Colours: Choose at least 3

· GREEN: green pepper, pickles, parsley, cucumber, celery, avocado, olives, edamame

· RED OR ORANGE: Grape Tomatoes, red and orange peppers, grated carrots,

· YELLOW: chick peas, sweet corn, yellow peppers

· Cheese – cheddar, parmesan

DRESSING: Use your favourite: Ranch, Italian, Californian (or Catalina), Caesar or make your own:

Magic Muffin Ingredients:

Magic ingredient: 1 banana or apple or apple sauce or berries or peaches or zucchini or carrot

1 egg

butter or coconut oil

flour

brown sugar or white sugar or honey

baking soda

baking powder

salt

Optional: vanilla, cocoa powder or cinnamon for flavour

1/2 cup fun bits

Friday: Super Dips & Chips

Bean dip & Guacamole

Ingredients:

Corn chips

· Can of beans - black beans, white kidney beans or pinto beans

· 1/3 cup of fresh herbs (e.g. dill, cilantro, parsley)

· extra-virgin olive oil or mild tasting oil

· 1 -2 lemons or limes or lemon juice

· garlic

· Sea salt & pepper to taste

2 ripe Avocados - just soft to touch, darker colour

Grape tomatoes

Knife – small plastic or cutlery knife

Small bowl for food waste

Spoons, fork
