July 5: Perfect Pancakes
INGREDIENTS:
flour
eggs
milk
baking soda
salt
Butter
Sweet toppings: vanilla, sugar, fruit - 2 or 3 types - berries, bananas, kiwi, apple, pear, strawberries, blueberries
Top with lemon juice, icing sugar, fruit, cinnamon, whipped cream, honey or MAPLE SYRUP
SPECIAL TOOLS
Frying pan
Liquid measuring cup
Spatula for flipping
Stove * ADULT SUPERVISION
July 12:
Pasta Salad
INGREDIENTS:
· 1-2 cups Pasta - cooked
3 Bright Colours: Choose at least 3
· GREEN: green pepper, pickles, parsley, cucumber, celery, avocado, olives, edamame
· RED OR ORANGE: Grape Tomatoes, red and orange peppers, grated carrots,
· YELLOW: chick peas, sweet corn, yellow peppers
· Cheese – cheddar, parmesan
DRESSING: Use your favourite: Ranch, Italian, Californian (or Catalina), Caesar or make your own:
DIY DRESSING: Olive oil, lemon or lime or vinegar, herbs (dried or fresh) or spices, salt & Pepper
Optional: Mustard, honey, garlic, mayonnaise
SPECIAL TOOLS:
Grater
Colander
Pot for pasta
Jar with lid for dressing

July 19: Chocolate Raspberry Lava Cakes
INGREDIENTS:
· butter or coconut oil
· flour
· sugar
· cocoa powder
· baking powder
· Pinch of salt
· vanilla
· milk
· Raspberry jam or fresh raspberries
· Semi-sweet chocolate chips
· Icing sugar
· Fresh raspberries, mint leaves for garnish
TOOLS:
Ceramic or glass small baking vessel (ramekin or mug)
Microwave * ADULT SUPERVISION
Colander or seive
July 26: Mexican Street Corn
INGREDIENTS:
· 6 to 8 medium ears sweet corn, husks removed
· Mexican crema, or sour cream or Plain Greek Yogurt
· mayonnaise
· cilantro - fresh
· 1 clove garlic, minced
· ground chipotle pepper or cayenne or chile powder or paprika
· 1-2 limes
· cotija cheese or feta cheese, crumbled
· Lime wedges, to serve

Oven or BBQ * ADULT SUPERVISION
Aug 30:
French Toast Casserole
INGREDIENTS:
8 pieces of bread - or uncut loaf - slightly stale bread is perfect
Butter
eggs
Milk
Brown Sugar
Cinnamon
Salt
Fruit - 1 cup of apples, blueberries, banana or your choice
nuts (optional) -Pecans, hemp hearts
Serve with:
Fruit salad or mixed berries, maple syrup,
Favourite protein (eg. Greek yogurt)

Sept 13:
Fruit Crumbles
*** Amounts depend on size of baking dish - individual or family size
INGREDIENTS:
THE FRUIT: apples, peaches, berries, rhubarb
· Fruit (fresh or frozen)
· Lemon juice (optional)
· Sugar (optional) to taste
Cinnamon (optional)
Brown sugar
Flour
Oatmeal
Butter
TOOLS
·peeler
Baking dish to fit fruit
Oven * ADULT SUPERVISION
Sept 20: Taco Salad
Perfect to substitute Chicken or Veal if desired.
INGREDIENTS:
Lettuce (Romaine or Iceberg)
Roma tomato or grape tomatoes
1/8 red onion
fresh cilantro (optional)
½ Cucumber
1 Pepper
corn (optional)
Avocado (optional)
1 can black beans
Cheddar cheese
French or Catalina salad dressing
Cumin
Chile powder
Garlic powder
salt
1 lime
Corn chips
Tools:
1 Knife – sharp chef and paring knife
Grater for cheese
Can Opener
Strainer
Sept 27: Pizza Peppers
INGREDIENTS:
· · 1 large bell pepper, 1 pepper per person
· pizza or spaghetti sauce
· grated cheese
· red pepper flakes (optional)
· oregano, basil or parsley
· TOPPINGS: CHOOSE AT LEAST 3
· E.g. broccoli, tomato, onion, zucchini, olives, mushrooms, pepperoni, ham, bacon, pineapple
