  • Apron

  • Spoons, fork

  • Cutlery knife

  • Medium bowl

  • Food waste bowl

  • Measuring cups and spoons

  • Cleaning cloth

  • Soapy water in sink


Jan 19: Whole-Grain Rolls

INGREDIENTS:

·      Flour - all-purpose, whole wheat

Yeast

Sugar or honey

Salt

Milk

1 egg - room temperature

Olive oil

Seeds: Flaxseeds, chia, hemp hearts, pumpkin seeds or sunflower seeds

Special TOOLS:

Small bowl with plate for lid

Larger bowl with tea towel or plate for cover

Baking dish or baking sheet

Parchment paper

Jan 26: Anzac Biscuits

Ingredients:

·rolled oats

shredded coconut (optional)

sugar - brown or white sugar

flour

salt

butter

golden syrup or honey

boiling water

baking soda

vanilla (optional)

 Special TOOLS:

Baking tray with parchment paper or silicon mat

Feb 2: Stuffed Buns

INGREDIENTS:

●   Flour - all purpose flour

Milk

Lukewarm Water , (adjust)

Active dry yeast

Sugar

Salt , to taste

Extra Virgin Olive Oil

Black or white sesame seeds (optional)

For Stuffing

Choose 4 vegetables:

Aromatics - onion, garlic, shallots, ginger

Starcy - potato, sweet potato, turnip, squash

Brassica - cabbage, broccoli, cauliflower

Bean or legume or protein - green beans, lentils, chickpeas or cooked pork or chicken or beef

Seasonings: Salt, pepper, tumeric, carom seeds, coriander, lemon juice, garam masala

Feb 9: Mini-Carrot Cakes

INGREDIENTS

·  3 eggs

½ Cup greek yogurt

½ Cup maple syrup

¼ Cup milk

1 TSP vanilla extract

2 carrots, shredded

1 ½ Cup whole wheat flour, sifted

2 TSP baking powder

2 TSP ground cinnamon

1 TSP nutmeg ( optional )

 

 

Frosting:

 

8 oz light cream cheese

¼ Cup maple syrup

1 TSP vanilla

Walnuts
