Healthy Muffins

Ingredients:

Wet Ingredients:

3/4 cup mashed banana or grated apple or zucchini or carrot

1 egg

1/4 cup butter or coconut oil – melted (20-30 seconds in microwave)

Dry Ingredients:

3/4 cup flour

½ cup brown sugar

1/2 tsp baking soda

1/2 tsp baking powder

1/4 tsp salt

Optional: 1/2 tsp cinnamon

Fun bits: Use ¼ cup total: You can mix and match!

Raisins, Choc chips, frozen blueberries or raspberries

Tools:

Apron

Cutting board

Knife – small plastic or cutlery knife

2 Small bowls

1 medium bowl

Measuring cups and spoons

Spoon

Muffin papers

Muffin tin

Oven mitts

Pizza Rolls

INGREDIENTS:

Tortillas - whole wheat or plain

· Red Sauce: Tomato sauce, Pureed or Crushed tomatoes with

· Green Sauce: Pesto (optional)

Seasonings; Garlic powder, basil, oregano

2) Choose 3 Veggie Toppings:

· Peppers

· Zucchini

· Olives – black or green

· Small Pineapple chunks

· Green Onion

· Tomatoes

Mushrooms

Protein:

Cheese - mozzarella or cheddar

Ham, Chicken or pepperoni

Tools:

Apron

Cutting board

Knife – small plastic or cutlery knife

1 Small bowl

Spoon

INGREDIENTS:

eggs

English muffins

cheese

Butter or vegetable oil

Salt and pepper

3 BRIGHT COLOURS - on top or beside

Choose from: peppers, carrots, cucumber, tomato, avocado

Optional Choices:

Protein - hummus, ham, bacon sausage = pre-cooked

TOOLS:

Fork

Mug - microwave safe - diameter similar to English muffin size

Toaster

GOOGLY EYES Day before

INGREDIENTS:

Googly eyes (see recipe below)

- corn starch, icing sugar, corn syrup, vanilla, mini-choc chips

Fruits

3 BRIGHT COLOURS – choose 3

-Bananas

· Strawberries

· Melon – cantaloupe or honey dew

· *Watermelon

· TEETH: Rice crispies, pumpkin seeds, or sunflower seeds work well

GLUE: Peanut butter, nut butter or wowbutter
