Sept 16:

Rainbow Fruit Plate

INGREDIENTS:

Choose your colours! At least one each.

Yellow: Bananas, pineapple

Orange: Oranges, clementines, peaches, canteloupe

Red: Strawberries, apples, raspberries, watermelon, cherries

Purple: Grapes, Blueberries, raisins

Green: Grapes, kiwi, honeydew

White: Coconut, dragon fruit

Add your favourites and one new fruit to try.

Dip - Yogurt - plain or flavoured or greek (for extra protein)

Honey or maple syrup (optional)

Layered Salad with Lemony Dressing

INGREDIENTS:

Create your own - think of the colours and flavours!

Greens:

- Lettuce - Leafy leffuce or baby spinach or cabbage

cucumber, celery, edamame, green onion, green beans

Yellows

- Corn, yellow peppers, chickpeas

Orange

- Carrots, orange pepper

Red

- Tomatoes, red peppers

Purple

- red onion, red cabbage, Kalamata olives

Dressing: Pick your favourite or make one

1 Lemon

1/3 cup Olive Oil

½ tsp Salt

Pepper

TOOLS:

Apron

Bowl with 1/4 water for washing veggies

Salad spinner or clean tea towel

Cutting board

Cutlery knife

Peeler

Grater (optional)

Fork, Spoon

Food waste bowl

Measuring spoons

Small jar with lid (like a mason jar or water tight container)

Fruit Parfait with chocolate sauce

Ingredients:

Fresh fruits :

Blue or black berries • Apples • Mango • Strawberries • Kiwi

Yogurt :

Plain Greek yogurt • Vanilla yogurt

Toppings :

Raisins • Coconut flakes • Hemp hearts (for omega 3 fats) • Chocolate chips (dark chocolate for antioxidants) • Cinnamon or pumpkin spice • Granola or muesli or your favourite cereal

1 tsp Cocoa powder

1 TBSP Sugar

Water

Tools:

Apron

Cutting board

Knife – small plastic or cutlery knife

Spoon

Parfait glass - fancy glass or container
