: Rainbow Salad
We will be trying some different vegetables and creating a fun fuzzy face when we learn how to use a knife for basic chopping and grater to create some fun fuzzies. Then we will put it all together to make a face that transforms into a delicious snack.
INGREDIENTS:
Your favourite veggies
Bright Colours - Have at least 4 colours total:
- Green - cucumber, celery, lettuce, beans, broccoli
- Red - Tomato, red pepper, strawberry
- Yellow - yellow peppers, corn, zucchini
- Purple - purple cabbage, blueberries
- Orange - carrots, orange peppers
- Brown/white - mushrooms, cauliflower, kohlrabi
Dressing:
Olive oil,
lemon or lime
salt and pepper,
herbs - dill, oregano, basil, garlic powder, parsley, thyme (choose 1 or 2)
Optional (honey, mustard)
Special equipment:
Small jar with a tight fitting lid
Bowl or platter for salad
