APPLE BLOSSOMS

Ingredients:

· 4 Apples

· Puff pastry or short crust pastry-frozen - thaw for class

· ¼ cup butter

· ½ cup Brown Sugar

· 1 tsp Cinnamon

· ½ tsp Pumpkin spice or nutmeg (optional)

· 1 tsp lemon juice (optional)\

· 1 TBSP Milk

if apple is cut up instead of whole – add ½ tsp corn starch.

TOOLS:

Bowl with 1/4 water for washing fruits & veggies

Small mixing bowl.

INGREDIENTS:

THE FRUIT: apples, peaches, berries, rhubarb

· Fruit (fresh or frozen)

· Lemon juice (optional)

· Sugar (optional) to taste

Cinnamon (optional)

Brown sugar

Flour

Oatmeal

Butter

Skeleton Salad &

Jack O’Lantern Rice Balls

INGREDIENTS:

Head - Round vegetable, apple, pepper, cauliflower

Arms & Legs - long skinny piece - celery, carrots, pepper, cucumber

Teeth - seeds

Eyes - googly eyes, black olives

Odd body parts - mushrooms, broccoli

Dip - Ranch dressing or favourite dressing - add ketchup for bloody effect

1 1/2 cups medium or short grain rice
2 cups carrot juice or 4 TBSP grated carrot
1 cup water
1/2 teaspoon salt
A handful of black olives, for garnish
A few green bean tips, for garnish

Fillings – optional

Suggestions: Pitted olive, piece of tomato, square of cheese, green peas, piece of hardboiled egg
