July 10:

Breakfast Sandwiches

NGREDIENTS:

Breakfast Sandwich

● 1 egg per sandwich

Bun or English muffin

Butter or olive oil

Bright Colours: Choose 3

Avocado, Lettuce, Tomato, peppers, green onions, cucumber, your favourite

Protein toppings: Cheese, bacon or ham, hummus, seasoned beans

Seasonings: Choose your favourite

● Salt and Pepper

ketchup, bbq sauce, paprika, mayonnaise or your favourite

Special TOOLS:

Mug that is microwave safe

Microwave Oven * ADULT SUPERVISION

or Small frying pan, flipper

July 17:

Perfect Pancakes or Crepes

Ingredients:

flour

salt

baking soda

1-3 eggs

milk

butter

Syrup or lemons and icing sugar

Fresh fruit - Choose 3 colours:

bananas, berries, apples, pomegranate, pineapple

Fun toppings: Hemp hearts, choc chips, seeds or nuts,

Greek yogurt (adds protein) or whipped cream

Special TOOLS:

Large frying pan or electric griddle

Or small to medium size non-stick frying pan for crepes

Flipper spatula

July 24: Breakfast Burritos with Scrambled Egg

INGREDIENTS:

●       Soft Tortillas – large

●       1 TBSP Butter or Vegetable oil

●       2 eggs (per person)

●       Cheese

●       2 Avocados - ripe

●       Lime juice

●       Salt

●       6 Grape Tomatoes or Salsa

●       Optional Protein:  Black beans, Refried beans, ham, bacon, sausage, or ground pork

●       ½ tsp Cumin

●       ½ tsp paprika or chile powder

●       Jalapeno pepper pickles (optional)

Fork or whisk

Skillet or frying pan

Spatula

Stove * ADULT SUPERVISION

July 31:

French Toast Casserole

INGREDIENTS:

8 pieces of bread - or uncut loaf - slightly stale bread is perfect

Butter

eggs

Milk

Brown Sugar

Cinnamon

Salt

Fruit - 1 cup of apples, blueberries, banana or your choice

nuts (optional) -Pecans, hemp hearts

Serve with:

Fruit salad or mixed berries, maple syrup,

Favourite protein (eg. Greek yogurt)

Baking dish - enough to serve your family

August 7: Eggs Benedict

INGREDIENTS:

●      Eggs – one per serve

●      English Muffins (1/2 per serve)

Paprika (optional)

●      Protein options:  spinach, avocado or smoked salmon, peameal bacon, ham

●      Hollandaise Sauce : Premade Hollandaise packet or make our own

●      4 egg yolks

●      lemon juice

●      water

●      salt

●      butter

August 14: Huevos Rancheros

INGREDIENTS:

olive oil

flour tortillas or corn tortillas

black beans, 1 can

1 egg per serving

tomatoes

cotija cheese or feta or cheddar cheese

avocado

Seasonings: cumin, chile powder, salt and pepper

Fresh cilantro (optional)

hot sauce (optional)

Small colander

Frying pan
