Grilled Cheese Sandwiches
INGREDIENTS:
· Bread 2 slices per sandwich
Cheese - cheddar, mozzarella, your favourite block or shredded
Butter (optional)
Optional fillings: tomatoes, pickles, ham, your choice
2 Bright Colours - choose from
Fresh veggies: Peppers, carrots, cucumbers, celery or other favourite
TOOLS:
Apron
Wash water for veggies
Cutting board
Knife - cutlery knife
Grate
Flipper
Frying Pan
Stove or Electric griddle * ADULT SUPERVISION
Cleaning cloth
Soapy water in sink

Pasta Salad
INGREDIENTS:
Pasta - uncooked or cooked
Choose at least one of each colour!
· GREEN: green pepper, pickles, parsley, cucumber, celery, avocado, olives
· RED OR ORANGE: Grape Tomatoes, red and orange peppers, carrots
· YELLOW: chick peas, sweet corn, yellow peppers
* PURPLE - olives, red onion, red cabbbage, red beans or cure meats like ham or salami
· WHITE: Pasta, rice, quinoa, or even potato works
· Cheese – cheddar, parmesan
Dressing: favourite salad dressing like ranch, california or italian

· Cutting board

· Cutlery knife

Stir Fry veggies with noodles
INGREDIENTS:
Choose 3 bright colours:
· Green veggies – broccoli, green beans, celery, snow peas, cabbage
· Red veggies – red peppers
Orange veggies - carrots, orange peppers, squash
· Yellow veggies – corn, yellow peppers
· White veggies – onions, garlic, water chestnuts, cauliflower
Olive oil, or broth
Seasoning: salt, pepper
Teriyaki sauce or favourite stir fry sauce or oil-based salad dressing
Protein Power: Add some marinated tofu, chicken, beef or fish to make this a meal.
Noodles - vermicelli -rice noodles or glass noodles

· 1/2 tsp dried herbs (basil, oregano, chives)
· 1/2 cup veggies (peppers, onions, mushrooms, zucchini)
· 1/2 cup tomato sauce
· 2 whole wheat flour tortillas
· 3/4 cup cheddar cheese
